Session Card — Coach's Clipboard
Printable 5-step session structure: PLAY → PAUSE → PLAY → SCAN → SEED. Fill in each day.
Week 1: The Board is a Body
Files as skeleton, ranks as layers, squares as cells. The 4-cell still center is the heart.
Week 2: Firmware & the Center
Starting position as default firmware. Why the still center runs the whole body.
Week 3: The Organs, Part 1 — Rook & Knight
Rook as skeleton (linear channels). Knight as wild card (non-linear jumps, outposts).
Week 4: The Organs, Part 2 — Bishop & Queen
Bishop as nerves (dimension-locked diagonals). Queen as consciousness — deploy attention wisely.
Level Up 1: Control the Still Center
Still center, degrees of freedom, and the Dynamo — body-theory framing of center control.
Level Up 2: Develop Fast (Wake the Organs)
Organs off the bench, knights before bishops, why the consciousness (queen) waits.
Level Up 3: Castle Early (Build the Membrane)
Pawn wall as membrane, encapsulation as fortress. Protect the king at the heart of the body.
Level Up 4: Don't Break the Rhythm
Rhythm as tempo, bumps as wasted moves. The Opening Checklist is your firmware.
Level Up 5: Tactics (Pressure, Constraint, Leverage)
Fork as pressure. Pin as constraint. Skewer as leverage piercing through the body.
CS Bridge: Cells & Coordinates
Board coordinates as array indices. Every square has an address — just like every pixel.
CS Bridge: Variables & Constants
Piece values as constants. Position as variables. What changes vs what never does.
King & Pawn Endgames
The king finally wakes up and walks the battlefield. Mirror pressure, cell geometry, and the awakening organ.
Italian Game (CHIMERA)
500-year-old firmware — organs awake, nerves aimed at f7. The weakest cell in Black's membrane.
King & Queen Checkmate
Two awakened organs close in. Knight's-move pressure, the box, and avoiding the stalemate system crash.
Ruy Lopez (CHIMERA)
Upstream pressure — attack the defender, not the target. 464 years of slow-squeeze chess.
King & Rook Checkmate
The skeleton becomes a wall. Linear pressure, the ladder loop, and forcing retreat one rank at a time.
Scotch Game (CHIMERA)
Crack the membrane open on move three. High-bandwidth body for nerves and skeleton.
Passed Pawns & Promotion
Scaffolding becomes consciousness. The metamorphosis from lowest organ to highest — and how distraction vectors win.
Queen's Gambit (CHIMERA)
Investment thinking — sacrifice small, gain big. Why most world champions decline the offer.
Tournament Ready
The whole body goes to war as one system. 24 weeks of CHIMERA collapse into a single tournament game.
London System (CHIMERA)
Pure firmware — the same 7 moves every game. Wake the bishop BEFORE closing the door.
Endgame Conversion — The Closing Body
Phase 5 finale. The body strips tissue to finish cleanly. Three stalemate traps, flag rupture, simplification ritual. Carry the advantage all the way home.
Advanced Forks & Double Attacks
Manufactured pressure. The body engineers fork squares instead of waiting for them — one action, multiple outputs.
Advanced Pins & X-Rays
Constraint that compounds. Frozen organs rewrite the whole defense map. X-ray vision travels through tissue.
Deflection & Decoy
Controlling enemy reflex. The body's defenders are pulled off their posts by threats they cannot ignore.
Interference & Overloading
Breaking the nervous system. Cut the signal between coordinating organs, or exhaust a single defender with too many jobs.
Zwischenzug — The Pulse Between Beats
Rhythm-break. Insert an unexpected pulse between the opponent's expected beats. Tempo belongs to whoever controls the in-between.
Pawn Structure (CHIMERA)
Permanent scaffolding. Islands, chains, passed pawns — the shape that guides the entire middlegame.
Combination Practice I
Chained pressure. Each forcing move triggers the next — a cascade of forced reflex. Calculate the whole chain.
Good vs Sleeping Organs (CHIMERA)
Active vs dead. Effective value depends on degrees of freedom, not point value on the card.
Combinations II & Tactics Tournament
Phase 6 CHIMERA finale. Full-body synthesis. Identify tactics, solve combinations, earn the Advanced Tactics (CHIMERA) badge.
Open Channels for the Skeleton (CHIMERA)
The rook is the skeleton. Open files are its channels. Race to claim them — 7th rank = deep infiltration.
Weak Squares & Outposts
Wound sites and implanted organs. Every pawn push creates permanent weakness; plant knights in enemy wounds.
Cracking the Membrane (CHIMERA)
Three conditions to attack the king: attacker math, open channels, your own membrane secure.
Bishop Pair & Bishop Quality
Paired nerves cover the whole body. Good bishop breathes; bad bishop suffocates. The scaffolding decides the nerve's fate.
When to Trade Organs (CHIMERA)
Simplify when winning. Complicate when losing. Never trade active organs for sleeping ones.
Open Files & The 7th Rank
Skeleton needs clear channels. An open file is the rook's runway; the 7th rank is enemy-territory penetration.
Pawn Majorities & Passed Pawns
Scaffolding surplus manufactures consciousness. A passer walks the board and transforms — the body's largest promotion.
Space Advantage & Restriction
The body's breathing room. Spacious organs coordinate; cramped organs suffocate. Space = oxygen + time.
Prophylactic Thinking
Phase 7 finale. Inhabit the enemy body first. Feel what they want — then prevent it. Restriction → zugzwang → win.
Italian Game — Deep Wiring
The 500-year-old firmware fully installed. Queued breath (c3), patient organ load, nerve migration to g3. The body that loads pressure without burning it.
The Sicilian — Asymmetric Body
The refusing body. Turn sideways from the opponent's attack. Permanent channels, pre-emptive turns, racing membranes in opposite-side castling.
Queen's Gambit — The Slow Body
Accumulated pressure ends games. Offered tissue (c4), constrained nerves (Bg5), isolated-pawn wounds that press outward, the quiet cage.
London & KIA — The Fixed Body
Muscle memory preserves brain fuel. Install the body once; run the same nerves every game. Bishop triangle, fianchettoed nerve, implanted organ on e5.
Your Body Signature
Phase 8 finale. Declare your nervous-system pattern — aggressive, slow, or fixed. Signature card to pin on your wall. The committed body wins.
K+P Endgame — The Hollow Body
The body stripped to consciousness + one piece of scaffolding. Opposition as still breath, key squares as promotion cells, triangulation as breath-circle.
Rook Endgames — The Skeleton
Bones channel pressure along files and ranks. Lucena's bone bridge, Philidor's standing rib, 7th-rank plague bone, active vs. passive skeleton.
Minor Pieces — Nerves vs. Organs
The body picks its weapon by tissue environment. Wrong-color nerves, opposite-color fortress, implanted organ outposts.
Queen Endgames — The Consciousness
Phase 9 finale. The mind-piece alone. Perpetual check as infinite loop, hidden consciousness behind scaffolding, recurring breath as threefold repetition.
Full Game Analysis — The Body Scan
Post-session body scan. Where did the firmware hold? Which tissue ruptured? Six symbols (!, !!, ?, ??, ?!, !?) as body marks. The unscanned body repeats itself.
Tournament Prep — The Ritual Body
The body that enters the arena has practiced entering. Sleep, fuel, breath, between-round emptying. The firmware preload. The nervous system that holds under 5 rounds.
Graduation — You Are the Body Now
Phase 10 finale. 50-week capstone. Process body (you own) vs. outcome body (you rent). Graduation Signature Card. CHIMERA no longer teaches you — you ARE CHIMERA.
